The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring that medical devices, equipment, and systems meet safety, functionality, and regulatory standards. As a Medical Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, development, installation, maintenance, and repair of medical equipment, contributing to the overall improvement of patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design & Development:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including medical professionals and researchers, to design and develop new medical devices and equipment.
- Assist in the creation and implementation of user specifications and technical standards for medical devices.
- Work closely with the R&D department to innovate and improve medical technologies for enhanced performance and patient outcomes.
- Installation & Commissioning:
- Oversee the installation of new medical equipment and ensure it is configured correctly.
- Ensure all devices are tested according to regulatory standards before use in healthcare settings.
- Provide training to healthcare professionals on how to use new medical technologies.
- Maintenance & Repair:
- Perform regular maintenance and calibration of medical equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
- Diagnose faults, repair, and troubleshoot complex medical equipment and machinery.
- Keep accurate records of repairs, maintenance activities, and test results in compliance with industry regulations.
- Compliance & Safety:
- Ensure that all medical equipment and processes meet safety standards, regulatory guidelines, and industry best practices.
- Keep updated with the latest safety standards, regulations, and technological advancements in medical engineering.
- Conduct risk assessments and take corrective actions to ensure equipment safety.
- Customer Support:
- Provide technical support and consultation for clients and medical professionals regarding the use and troubleshooting of medical equipment.
- Respond to emergency repair requests for critical medical devices and systems.
- Documentation & Reporting:
- Prepare technical documentation, including user manuals, maintenance logs, and reports for medical devices.
- Collaborate with regulatory bodies to ensure that products meet industry certification requirements.
- Keep up-to-date documentation regarding the performance and status of equipment.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Medical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Master’s degree or certifications in specialized medical engineering fields (e.g., medical device certification) is a plus.
- Experience:
- Proven experience in medical device design, installation, maintenance, and repair.
- Strong knowledge of medical equipment standards and regulatory compliance (e.g., FDA, CE marking).
- Experience in clinical environments or with healthcare providers is preferred.
- Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of medical device technology, including mechanical, electrical, and software components.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with diverse teams and healthcare professionals.
- Familiarity with medical device software, including diagnostic tools and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Proficiency in using engineering design software (e.g., CAD, CAM) is advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:
- Sales & Business Development:
- Identify and target potential clients within healthcare facilities, including hospitals, clinics, doctors’ offices, and medical institutions.
- Promote and sell medical products and services to healthcare professionals, demonstrating their benefits, features, and advantages.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to meet sales targets and increase market share.
- Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and training sessions to ensure customers are well-informed about the products.
- Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with existing and new clients.
